Happy almost 4th of July! I grilled out this weekend because I couldn't wait. I HEART the smell of the grill. It makes me think of good times and hot dogs. Well, it actually makes me think of polish sausages (because I eat those not hot dogs) and my new fav - grilled portobello sandwiches. I am excited for summer, and the smell 'o the grill just screams summer. Everything is just more fun in the summer ... even in 115 degree weather here in Phoenix. There is something in the air in the summer or maybe it is just operant conditioning (there is a little taste of my psych degree for you) from when I was young ... summer meant no school and all fun! Wow I wish that is still what summer meant! It is still fun but maybe not so simple.
So these are super easy and super cute for your 4th of July weekend! Grab some great ribbon to decorate, and I included some FREE PRINTABLES BELOW!

Vanilla Whipped Cream Berry Desserts

A super easy and patriotic dessert.
- 2 cups strawberries or raspberries
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 vanilla bean or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
In a medium bowl, beat cream. Add in sugar, beans from 1/4 vanilla bean, and a pinch of salt. Beat until stiff peaks form.
In a short mason jar, layer 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup vanilla whipped cream, and 1/2 cup blueberries. Repeat in each jar.
