Easter has always been a holiday where family and friends gather together to share and give thanks for new life.  With spring right around the corner, what better way to celebrate then with the pastel colors you can find in your garden?  Plus, I’m pretty sure this color scheme will go perfectly with the excessive amount of Starburst Jellybeans I plan to eat.

I chose to design a Vintage Easter Brunch and Dessert buffet because in my family we like to gather early and spend the entire day together.  Since that ‘shabby chic’ vintage look paired so well with the party’s pastel colors, I began with the table décor and couldn’t help but continue the look to a dessert table.

To go with the vintage look, we decided to do something crazy and take some photos using a film camera!  How fun!  They have such an “instragram” look … I love it!

Dining Room Table I am all about finding multiple uses for things in my house.  This time, that white sheet in my linen closet found its debut as a tablecloth.  Over the white sheet I used ivory tulle as an overlay.

I made place settings out of Kraft packaging paper, which you can get at most office supplies stores or on Amazon, and a strip of this lace, available by the spool at craft stores or on Amazon.

The plates and serving dishes I used were my grandmothers, but the glasses were treasures found at Goodwill!  Goodwill would be a great place to look for Mason jar flower vases, or other vintage pieces without a hefty price attached.

To create the ultimate centerpiece (which I also used for the Dessert Buffet), I stacked two candleholders topped with a vintage bowl and filled it with these pastel pom poms.  I also filled an apothecary jar with pastel colored potpourri.  I think Easter eggs could look really cute in there as well!

Using my Vintage Easter Party Printable Collection to showcase the food items, our brunch menu consisted of coffee cake, muffins, fruit, and individual continental casseroles.  Here is our family recipe for Continental Casserole, which you can serve individually or family style!

Dessert Buffet Table Similar to the dining room table, I found a white quilt from Target and doubled it as the tablecloth.  The different textures are my favorite part of the table.

I took a few vintage frames from rooms in my house and in them I put Easter prints.  Frames are great for decorating because it’s incredibly easy to swap out photos.

Utilizing our Vintage Easter Party Printable Collection, I paired the pastel colored printables with artsy and colorful desserts.  I chose macarons using a healthier organic recipe, white chocolate raspberry popcorn (a popcorn bar is a healthier alternative), a healthier fresh coconut cake, and an assortment of skinny cupcakes with pastel frosting.  The popcorn and macarons were put into apothecary jars, while a white serving tray was used for the cupcakes.  In my opinion, some drinks can double as dessert so I included a serving tray of organic strawberry lemonade to wash down all the goodies.
