DIY This Easy Halloween Decoration

DIY This Easy Halloween Decoration

easy Halloween decorations

Easy Halloween decorations are the best ... amiright?! Who wants to mess with lots of difficult and expensive decorations for Halloween when Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner? I don't know about you, but I need to save my stamina for the holiday season. It's a marathon not a sprint is what I tell myself. Although, I am definitely always sprinting at the end. No matter how well I plan, I always seem to be running around with my head cut off right before Christmas. Okay back to Halloween. My parents were really into Halloween growing up. I have such great memories of their Halloween parties. They would set up a mannequin in front of the house, hook a walkie talkie up to it, and scare people as they came to the door. It was so much fun. We have some great home videos of this. To help myself relive some of these great memories, I made these DIY ghost lights. Plus I wanted something festive to hang in our courtyard (see the video below).

SUPPLIES

INSTRUCTIONS

Put together the lantern according to the instructions. Add the light bulb and cord set
according to the lantern instructions. Using the oval shape template and white chalk or a white paint pen, trace three ovals onto the felt. Cut the ovals. Glue the ovals onto the lantern.

This might be one of the easiest DIY Halloween decorations you will find. It will take you all of five minutes to complete. If you can use scissors and glue, you are in like Flynn.  To show you how easy it is, I made a lil video for you. I've been making more videos as of late. I'm having so much fun with them! DIY Halloween Decorations

I really love this lantern. You can find so many uses for it. It is great on your front porch to light the way for trick or treaters or as a festive chandelier in your entryway. It is at the top of my list for easy Halloween decorations. It can even be on the list of great Halloween party ideas. Like I said I hung two lanterns to shine through the windows of the courtyard in our house. Check out the video to see what I mean. I think they look classy but festive. Might I suggest pairing this light with these DIY arrow pumpkins? You could adapt this DIY to pumpkin lights using orange lanterns and a pumpkin face of course. Any other fun easy Halloween decorations you have to share? Let me know in the comments.
