Printable Baby Registry Checklist

When you first dive into your baby registry it can be daunting. M and I literally left Buy Buy Baby with nothing in hand and nothing on the registry the first two times we went. We were completely overwhelmed to say the least. A baby registry is nothing like a wedding registry. With a wedding registry you are familiar with the items. With baby products, you literally have no idea where to start. So I decided to put together a printable baby registry checklist for you, so you know where to start. This list encompasses the products we decided to register for after months and months of research and talking to our friends with children. I hope it helps!

The One Item We Kept Hearing About

The one item we heard about from every mom and dad we know as their number one must have is this rock 'n play sleeper and/or this bouncer . Parents love the portability of these items and that they are lightweight. Our friends described being able to easily drag the items around the house and set baby up anywhere. They said their babies love them and will spend several happy hours in them. The bouncer is a great soother for baby. One note: with these items make sure to pay close attention to what is an approved sleeping item for baby.

And a related soothing device that moms and dads seem to love are these swings . We hear that when babies are crying and upset, this little number does wonders to calm them.

Don't Forget Batteries

One thing that you might not think of for your registry is batteries. The rock 'n play sleeper, bouncer, and swing that I just mentioned all take batteries. Picture this ... you come home from the hospital and baby is crying, and you are exhausted from a long couple of days. You put baby in your new bouncer to soothe him/her, and you realize you don't have any batteries in there ... eek! Definitely don't forget to add batteries to your registry. The last thing you want to mess with when coming home from the hospital is running out to get batteries for your new items. You can even store them right in the nursery, where baby can't reach of course. I put the extra batteries I received in this great decorative box I have. Don't they look cute? The best part is they will come in handy when our bouncer or swing runs out of batteries, and we are desperately trying to get baby to stop crying. Duracell is a great brand to get. Their batteries *last longer in 99% of devices than the next leading competitive brand. So this is my printable baby registry checklist and a couple of tips. I hope this helps! Here is a link to the printable checklist again.
